  Hoyt AlphaMax 32 inch

Although I was not able to attend Hoyt Night, I was able to shoot their new bow the AlphaMax 32 inch at my local pro shop.  I really wish I had the opportunity to shoot this bow set up with accessories and test it out at a few  3-D shoots and with broadheads in the field.  But I will gladly shoot it at the pro shop and enjoy the new features that Hoyt has shot into this new bow.

2009 PSE Bows

I hope everyone is having a great whitetail season and possibly some late season elk.  I will be chasing both the next two weeks and keep you posted on my efforts.  During the next few weeks I am going to try and shoot as many of the new 2009 bows as possible and give you my thoughts on how they compare.

A recent scouting trip

Hey Everybody...

Just when I was about to get totally discourage, I had a pretty decent scouting trip. As many of you know my deer season doesn't start until Janurary so alot of the work I am doing now is trying to learn new country and hopefully find a new honey hole. As always, my goals are to find sheds and hopefully find animals. Unfortunately, this year I hadn't really found anything noteable until my recent trip. I headed into some country that I suspected held a pocket of Coues and Mule Deer but I need to get in there and really take a look.  The funny thing about this area is that a lot of people that draw this tag often drive right past this little section of huntable land.

As I mentioned in my last entry, I was very happy with my initial setup of my Quest 33 bow and Sure-Loc Max ST sight. Now I was moving on to setting up my other bow - a Hoyt Katera.
