Hi BowCasters,

A few guys have requested some more pictues of the BowCast Benches. Here are a few with more to come throughout the year. I still have to get an arrow saw, press, and vice. Any suggestions BowCasters on what brand and why??

Here is a picture of the edge and the top, which has carpet pad covered with outdoor carpet.

A few nights ago I bought some rubber floor mats, some more storage bins, and hangers for the peg board.

I am shooting an Elite Judge this year and am starting to get my accessories all dialed in. I changed out the mods to adjust my draw length and it was easy. A few hundred more shots through this string and then I will be taking it off for my spare and replacing it with a custom Vapor Trail string. More to come on this bow as I prepare for the fall and BowCast at the Bird.

Matt

 [...]

Jason - Days 5 and 6 - And so it Ends...

For me a successful hunt is if I could have killed something with a rifle. J-

Day 5

This morning I snuck into a little pinch point so I could check a camera and hunt a new spot. This spot is/was about .5 miles from the road and has a nice little spring in the area. This area is great for rattling because any deer that come in are funneled thru a bottle neck and then it opens up to a little meadow. Once they hit the meadow it would be easy to get a shot.

I got to the spot in the dark, pulled the SD from the camera and this is what I found…

and then these two jokers on New Years Eve….

And then this… I need to reserve judgment because if you look real hard you can see an OLD road thru the area… But he spun my camera around so I didn’t get to many more pictures… I just wish people would leave stuff alone but that is all part of hunting public land..

After looking at the pictures and waiting for the sun to come up I took a quick little walk around the area… There was NO deer sign but it was obvious that that cow had been in the area for the entire week and there was a mountain lion in the area. I should have taken a picture of the track but I just forgot. The thing about pinch points is that everything is funneled thru them… Just not deer.

So I stuck it out until 9:00 am then I decided to do a little still hunting and use this opportunity to do a little scouting… The plan was to cover .25 miles then sit, let the area settle just a little and then do some calling to see if I could get anything to come in. Did it work? Well I stayed warm and I found out that most of the rutting activity (i.e. scraping) was along a very particular ridge. There must be a buck running in that area. I setup a trail cam over a scrape line so hopefully I will get a picture of the deer that is king of that ridge.

Day 6

The last day of the season… I decided that I needed to give the scrape line that I sat the first day one last try. I got there at sun-up and I started the wait. As I walked into to my little spot it was obvious that there was still a buck working the area. Most of the scrapes had been freshened in the last few days and nobody had been in the area. I had high hopes that I would be able to finally get a chance at a buck that I wanted to take. Well, needless to say it was a slow morning. I did have two does come by but that was it. I think that this little knob really has some potential, but I just need to learn how the deer move in the area.

Sooo with that my season end…. Where does that leave me? Well, more determined that ever…. I need some time to gather my thoughts… But I promise I will give them to you…. After I check my cameras…

J
[...]

Matt-Elite GT500 Review

Early this spring I began shooting as many different bows as possible. I wanted to see if I was missing something in all the new bows on the market. After shooting the Elite GT500 my mind was made up and I started a new journey with a bow that was totally different than my Mathews. This blog is a follow up to my original review of the Elite GT500 that I did in March.

After shooting the GT500 on the 3D courses this spring and turkey hunting with it here is a breakdown of what I liked and what I would change.

Accuracy- The first day I shot this bow I was more accurate and consistent at 40 yards than with any other bow I have owned. My groups were tighter and my confidence was higher. I contribute this to the bow being a little longer than I was use to shooting in the past. This gave me more stability and that was reflected in my groups. Additionally, I believe the quality of the materials and workmanship on this bow added to the overall performance and accuracy.

The Grip- One of my favorite design features on the GT500 is the grip. I like a thin grip with a flat platform on the riser. This gives stability through the draw and at full draw. Bows that have a rounded wood grip or rounded riser seem to twist more in my hand as I come to full draw. Adjusting the grip back to its original position once at full draw can cause one to torque the riser.

Riser Shelf- If I had one complaint about the GT500 it would be with the riser shelf. I used two different styles of rests and both contacted the left side of the riser shelf which has a little lip. The GT500 and my Z28 paper tuned to the left of what the laser center shot tool showed. This caused the left fork of my rest to always contact the left lip on the riser and not sit flat on the riser shelf. I don't know the purpose for having a lip on the riser shelf of any bow and in my opinion would look just as good not to have one and have the shelf width increased about 3/8s of an inch.

Quality Parts- One of the main reasons the GT500 stood out to me was the quality parts that are used. The Barnesdale limbs, string, string stop, finish, and machining of the cams. I have had no issues with any of the parts on this bow and if I ever do Elite's warranty is one of the best in the industry.

Overall- This is a great bow for hunting and shooting 3D. I give it 9 out of 10 for the smooth draw, stability/balance, solid back wall, and its exceptional quality. I will be using it in the future primarily for spring 3D and turkey hunting. Next week I am going to start shooting paper with it at a new indoor range to work on my form and release. If you haven't shot this bow at a pro-shop I encourage you to do so. Compare it to other bows and you might walk away pleasantly surprised.
 [...]

Does Size Really Matter?

Eastern Colorado Deer - MONSTERS! Both Mule Deer and Whitetail with massive racks and swollen necks have been frequenting my dreams at night. During the hours I am awake, I find myself visiting the Outdoor Expeditions website (which is the outfitter we will be hunting with - a.k.a. Atkinson Expeditions) and drooling over some of the other hunter success pictures for this year.

I was talking the other day with long time friend of BowCast - Maggie Armstrong from Elite Archery. She was sharing an interesting story about her recent hunt in Kansas, and some very typical and often overlooked (or not talked about) emotions when a tape measure gets put on a deer. Maggie had a very interesting perspective when she related her own recent hunt, and the range of emotions she went through when the deer was actually scored.

Maggie's conversation with me stopped me in my tracks. We say it all the time, "It's not how big the deer was, it's about spending time with friends in the outdoors.", or, "I don't measure success on the size of the rack." But is this really true? Maggie's conversation helped me sort it out in my head, and I now have a new and fresh perspective on my upcoming "trophy" hunt with my good friend Matt Hogue. I asked if Maggie woudl be willing to put some of the story she shared with me into a guest blog entry on BowCast, and she agreed. So below is an interesting and well rounded persepective on the age old question - Does Size Really Matter? Thank you Maggie!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does Size Really Matter?

{multithumb}

It's a question we hear all the time with several different meanings and might be a lame way to start my first blog entry, but hear me out; "Does size really matter?"

I'm talking about buck antlers.

This past spring co-host of Gator Trax Outdoors, Dana Wall, called and invited me to hunt with her on their property in Kansas. "Um...yeah! I'd love to!" I think were my exact words. Up until that point I'd hunted, but not for a whitetail buck. Sounds crazy because that's normally what people in my neck of the woods do, but as a new hunter, I really hadn't had my chance. And now I'm going to hunt in Kansas, on TV with real, experienced live hunters who I kind of know, but don't really know. Sure, no pressure!

I practiced all summer and had Garret, my husband and all around hunting coach, help me get ready. He was coming to Kansas with me for moral support and because I am a total bull-in-a-china-shop in the woods by myself. I'm working on that. I was shooting well and my confidence was up when we boarded the plane in New York for the Midwest.

As much as I tried to show my excitement over my nervousness, I was scared to death. The "what if's" were racing through my brain and I could hardly sleep.

Our first night hunting, we saw two does, but no bucks. The next morning we saw plenty of deer - all does and one small buck that didn't present a shot.

That afternoon, we set a ground blind in some cedars and brushed it in really well. We found great deer sign in the area and frankly, if I shot a doe and not a buck, I was okay with it. I just wanted to kill something!

As evening approached, the temperature continued to increase - it was in the 80's when Garret and I headed to the blind. The sun wasn't in our favor and obviously the temps weren't either so we didn't expect to see much within the first hour or two. The sun needed to set behind a row of cedars. At five o'clock, the light was pouring into our blind making it hot and me very sleepy. What happened next took all of about 10 minutes, but it seemed like an eternity yet a split second all in the same. A nice 3-year-old appeared from the cedars and made its way into my shooting lane. It presented a shot and I took it. I'd shot my first buck. After the moment passed, we started talking about the size of its rack. From what I've watched on television and heard here in the office, that's normal. That's how you determine if it's a good buck. I mean, what else really matters?

I must pause for a second to give you a little insight in my hunting experiences. I'm completely spoiled and I'm okay with admitting that. I started hunting four years ago when I met Garret. He bought me a bow and within 9 months of my first turkey hunt, I was working in the industry. I've had access to the best resources as well as the best equipment. I'm invited to hunt some great properties with some really great people in the archery world. But, while some might look at me and call foul, I don't know any other way. I've never struggled to get on a good piece of property or had to save to buy a bow. But my human emotions are just the same as yours and the amount of time and effort I have to put into practicing is just the same as yours. My excellent equipment might help me, but it won't kill the animals for me; only I can do that.

So there I was, walking up on my first buck lying in the middle of a field in Kansas with the camera rolling. I was really excited to finally put my hands on this deer - its my first buck, remember - I walked around to the back of the deer and picked up its rack to show the camera. Immediately, I'm thinking - wait...wasn't this deer bigger? Alive, this buck was easily 130" - but on the ground...not so much. After the camera stopped rolling, I took a look from the front and realize that it's a great deer - its nearly perfectly symmetrical, but...not as big as I thought...

No worries - it will score at least 125" and I'll have my first Pope & Young buck.

Fast forward a week and we are back in the office. Garret sent out an email to his friends and co-workers about my buck and the pictures are fantastic! Emails are coming back in telling me congratulations and that this is a great deer for my first buck.

Garret decided it was time to score my deer. I really had mixed feelings. I mean, what if my buck didn't really make Pope & Young. Should I have waited for a bigger deer? What if people were just being nice and that everyone thinks I should have killed a bigger deer. I mean, it was Kansas, right - the Midwest. I hear stories and see emails that come through all the time about the giants in the Midwest.

120" and some change, gross.

It didn't even make Pope & Young. Deflated, embarrassed, maybe even devastated...these are the emotions that I felt. But why?

I struggled with this through the rest of the evening and into the morning. I even picked a fight with Garret because he was the one who wanted to score my buck in the first place. If size doesn't matter, then why did we even score the darn thing?

I have a very interesting perspective on this whole, "does size matter" issue. From my chair, I am bombarded with emails and phone calls and video and stories of hunters who shoot "the big one" - but I don't see the 120" deer, ever. In fact, I really thought that a 120" deer was MUCH smaller than mine. It's the label that got me.

My 120" buck was a great first buck, second buck or 10th buck depending on what my goals are.

I like that people shoot big deer because it's a measurement of accomplishment for the seasoned and the disciplined. But until today, I didn't see it that way. I thought because I have accesses to all of these great resources and equipment, that I wasn't good enough unless I shot a deer that had a big number.

It's my own fault for putting these false expectations on myself, but I have a challenge for each of you. You probably have a son or daughter or a wife or girlfriend who might be interested in bowhunting. They probably hear you talking with friends about the "big deer" - the "shooters" the "140" + deer." You have to realize that even though we as novice hunters probably know better, it is imperative you talk about what determines a shooter buck in our eyes, not everyone else's eyes. And this conversation shouldn't happen while on the way to the stand. It should happen from day one.

We don't watch TV shows or read magazine articles about 120" deer, so you have to be the one to tell us its okay. While it might be obvious to you that we should know, the conversations have to happen because we don't know. If all we hear is that you and your buddies are shooting big deer without us really knowing what it takes to achieve this or more importantly, that most never will, how would we know?

I'm a bit upset that I spent nearly a week pining over a score on a piece of paper. I should have known better, but no matter what we should have known; we are all subject to our environments. With the number of archery hunters dwindling, every effort should be focused on the experience and what it means to have the privilege to participate in the world's oldest sport.

So, does size matter? Yeah, it does - but not to me, at least not right now. When I've put a little more time in and understand what it takes to really shoot a big deer, that's when size will matter to me.

By the way - Garret wanted to score my deer so I would have visual references as to what a good buck (meaning mine) looks like.

Go on, have that conversation with your wife, girlfriend, son or daughter and good luck in your efforts to shoot "the big one."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<p mce_keep="true"
Carrie’s Blog – BATB Review

When I first arrived at the Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, it was the middle of the night. We had rented a car from the airport and drove up this crazy winding road, Snowbird came out of nowhere and took my breath away, even at night.

The staff members in the Cliff Lodge lobby were quick and efficient and we were up in our room on the 5th floor in no time.

The room itself was beautiful with wood paneling and a fireplace, the BowCast discount was a steal for the suite we stayed in.

There were ample restaurants and shopping in case you forgot anything (or had it confiscated by TSA and needed to buy shampoo and bug spray like me!!). General Grits Store, located in the Snowbird Center was where I did most of my shopping. They had a very convenient option of purchasing your lunch ahead of time and then having it delivered up to the mountain that day or the next day. Again, the staff was very accommodating and handled the BowCast staff and the BATB attendees with ease. The sandwiches were very good size for the money and it was a flat fee for the sandwich, side and drink.

Friday I spent most of the day acclimating myself to both the altitude and the location on the mountain itself. We drove up to where several BowCast and FMP staffers were setting up banners and placing stickers representing all of the sponsors who helped make this event possible.

The hard work that went into the very setup alone was astronomical. I have to give some serious credit to Anthony and Launch and all the guys who helped set these targets and even hang the banners. They weren't just set up on the side of the road; they were hung from tree limbs, rock outcroppings and all sorts of structures.

Saturday morning came and it was a cool brisk mountain morning! We had a few minor hiccups getting the registration table set up but once we did it went pretty smooth.

Matt Burrows and I got to work the registration table from 7:30 until about 9:30 and it was great putting a face to the names we see in BowCast everyday.

Saturday was by far the busiest day; there were a lot of people taking the ski lift up to the mountain.

The lift dropped you off and then you walked a little ways down the road to an area that is normally up and running during the ski season. Unfortunately, SnowBird did not staff the restaurant but still allowed us to use the facility itself. The only downside was that if you wanted lunch while on the mountain you had to order it ahead of time at the General Grits Store and then they delivered it.

Many people opted to ride the lift back down and eat at one of the many restaurants available in the 3 lodges and then ride the lift back up to shoot some more.

There were booths/tents set up where some of the sponsors could display and sell their wares.

Elite Archery had a tent set up where you could try out any of the bows manufactured by them.

There were 3 courses, a Beginners/Child's Course, an Intermediate Course and then the now infamous Elite Course.

Each course had numerous life like 3D Targets; BowCast had just purchased 60 brand new Rinehart Targets remember, and they were strategically placed to provide the most realistic hunting scenario possible.

This was quite a different experience for me as all of the 3D courses I've ever shot were the standard "walking lane" set up. One lane to walk along and targets set up at various intervals on both sides.

This was more like, walk into the brush, ok, where did that orange flag go? Oh yeah, there it is, follow the flags over rocks, boulders, streams and downed trees, ok, here's the blue flags letting me know this is where I should take the shot from, look around, don't see the target, look up! Ahhh there it is!!

Holy Cripes!! How many yards and what angle is that shot?!

The targets were set back and placed so well that you almost think you're shooting at a real animal!

Being from Wisconsin, my bow was not sighted in for the longer shots. At first I was fearful that all of the targets would be these crazy 90 yard shots and I wouldn't even get to sling any arrows.

But I must say, our boys are pretty clever.

Some targets were set at 30 yards or so or if they were at 50, I could just move up to 20 or 30 yards and take the shot.

They truly varied the yardage in order to be able to accommodate everyone, and the few (like a bedded elk that you had to shoot over the road after climbing up to the top of what must have been a rock slide on the opposite side from the target) that were too far, I simply didn't shoot at. But I still climbed or walked to where you would shoot it, just for the experience, and to watch the ones who could make the impressive shots let those arrows fly!

Saturday night we had the BowCast Party in the SnowBird Conference Center, Aneal Roney and Matt Hogue headed the ones setting up the room, they had several TV's set up with some of the sponsors TV shows playing.

They also had a Nintendo Wii set up and Guitar Hero seemed to be a big hit!

Aneal and Anthony played the part of presenters during the raffle in which they gave away a crazy amount of stuff!

You received raffle tickets when you registered (and if you didn't Saturday morning, I know of a husband and wife team who did not receive them, you know who you are...PM me) that entered you into the drawing, once the raffle was over, a lot of people left, mostly the die-hards and the sponsors stayed, but it was nice to be able to chat with them without all of the crowds too.

Sunday was pretty low key; it was nice to shoot the courses in the quiet stillness of the mountains.

We left at around 1pm and rode the lift down; again the scenery was breath taking.

All in all, I thought the event was a great success.

It was the first time in this venue and of course there were a few tiny hiccups, that just means next year the Bird will be even better.

I can't wait to see you all there in 2010.

~ Carrie

P.S. More photos to come....

 [...]

Pimps Up Doe's Down

OK, it sounded cool, but more particularly I hope it is "Pimps Up Bucks Down".

We get a lot of questions about our setups and the equipment we are running. I thought I would just shoot a blog entry out to the BowCast community on some pics of my current Elite Archery GT500 setup. I gotta say, I have this bow shooting better than anything I have ever drawn in my life. It's a combination of things, but equipment is at the foundation.

I also think "pimpin out your setup" is important and cool. Add stickers, reminders to pick a spot, or antything in between. There are THOUSANDS of the same model bow you are holding in your hand - make it yours through customization - why wouldn't you?

If you have any questions about specific parts of my setup, or why I chose this equipment, please leave a comment to this blog entry and I'd be happy to answer the best I can. Until then, enjoy the slide show!
<p mce_keep="true"
Matt-Daily Shooting

Just a quick post on what I'm up to. I have been shooting my Elite Z28 everyday this week and am finally getting it dialed. Getting ready for BowCast at the Bird and hunting season! I got my plane ticket this week to SLC and I can't wait to shoot some foam at Snowbird.

I am very impressed with the Z28 and have been shooting tighter groups than I was with my Mathews after three years. Here is a picture of my group at 80 yards today.

I also fletched up some new arrows last week. Easton Axis FMJ 400s with BowCast wrap and I'm trying out Norway Industries' Fusion vane. I am very pleased with the results and groups I'm getting with this arrow/bow combination.

Hope everyone has a chance to get out and shoot this week. Make it part of your daily routine!

Matt
 [...]

Jason - My Z-28 Bow Review

Well Everybody

It is that time of the year again. Time to unveil my choice in bows. This year was different because I got a chance to shoot all the bows side-by-side at ATA. I was able to shoot everything from Hoyts to Bears. Personally, it was a great experience. As many of you know I am always saying, "it is the Indian not the Arrow.". I really believe that. If you picked the top ten bows they are more accurate and consistent than any human can be. If there is a difference it will be in quality control and ease of tuning. Last year I shot and reviewed a single cam bow. It was a nice little bow but I had some issues with the cams "biting" into the serving and the limbsaver kept flying off the limbs. I know that is pretty rare to ever read anything negative about a bow but I have no problem calling it like I see it. So stay tuned for an honest review.

SOOOOO..... What is my bow of choice? This year I did something different, I didn't look at the specs I just went with what felt comfortable for me. I personally think there is way too much emphasis put on "the numbers". I think Travis Turner nailed it when he "A slow hit is better than a fast miss".

My requirements were as follows:
Had to work as a system (more on this later) Had to be a hunting bowHad to be quiteHad to be easy to drawHad to have a comfortable gripand most importantly, it just had to feel right

By now it is no sceret that we are all shooting Elites this year. So how did we get to this point? Well, the last night of ATA the Bowcast crew had a pow-wow at Hooters and we wanted to come up with a hit list of bows that we felt, shot well and that the general public would be interested in hearing about. We went thru the regular big three and we didn't think there would be any value to the listeners of the show in giving them more info about bows that have been marketed to death. We talked about speed, brace height, ATA, camo; basically all the stuff that is often talked about when deciding on a bow but we kept coming back to the GT-500 and the Z-28. Not because of some crazy speed or brace height but because it just "felt right". It had that something that we couldn't explain. The draw felt right but is was more than just the cams, it also had to do with the limbs and the grip.

Some of the other guys on the team decided to shoot the GT-500 but I figured I would be the oddball (again) and shoot the Z-28. So I ordered a 70lb-80lb, 27 inch Ninja Black Z-28.... Okay, what I am about to say is the truth. When I got the bow I really thought that I got a 60lb-70lb bow because it was so easy to draw. I finally went to the bow shop to use there scale and sure enough it was the 70lb-80lb version.

I always get a kick with new bows because they all have that little sticker that says who the bow was tuned by, more often than not it is a way of fingering a guility party. After talking with Elite they made it pretty obvious that because of the manufacturing process that ALL bows have a little variance in the ATA and Brace Height. They said that the key to a tuned bow is the timing of the cams. So, I was going to put the tuner of my bow to the test. I built a draw board and I checked the timing. Well, tuner #452 you nailed it...

Look at the pictures.

After I figured that I couldn't time the bow any better, I bolted on my Spot-Hogg Whammy and my new Boss Hogg(more on them later).

So what happened after I got the bow hitting the target at 40 yards? Well I'll let my pictures do the talking.

The picture below is my first serious 4 shot group at 40.

SWEET JESUS!!!! I LOVE THIS BOW!!!!

MORE ON THE Z-28 later...

Jason

[...]

Matt- Elite GT500

Last Friday I went to my local pro-shop and shot the Elite GT500. I have shot most of the new bows this year and was very impressed with the Elite GT500. The poundage on this bow was set to ~60 pounds.

Here are the general specs on the Elite GT500.
ATA-34 7/8"Brace Height 7 1/8"IBO Speed 346fps

The grip on the GT500 is amazing! I love the narrow style grip. The bow was very balanced and I didn't feel like I had to torque the bow to get it to sit comfortably in my hand. I also liked the ~35 inches ATA. For me this helped settle the bow quicker side to side.

The GT500 also comes with a string stop to reduce vibration. Upon release this bow was very smooth and had very little if any hand shock. In my opinion the GT500 and the BowTech Admiral have the best after shot feeling.

The most impressive feature of this bow is how smooth the cams release the string as you draw the bow. There was not a deep valley that jolted my grip on the riser but a smooth transition to a hard back wall. I was very impressed with the Revolution Cam System. By far the best draw cycle of any bow I shot this year.

I looked this bow over and over and saw nothing but quality workmanship and attention to detail. The limbs are Barnesdale. Excellent quality and can be ordered up to 90 pounds.

Visit the Elite website for more information on their bows.

http://www.elitearchery.com/Home.html

Find a local dealer and shoot one of the Elite bows and see what you think. Impressed or want to win a GT500? Buy some Zotes sunflower seeds and enter in your chance to win. www.winafreebow.com
 [...]

BowCast News

Folks,

I hope you have been patient with my lack of blogging. For those of you who don't know, a lot of work occurs on the BowCast team in the first quarter (Jan, Feb, March) to ensure we have some good content lined up for you the rest of 2009.

Things have finally started to settle down and I am looking forward to getting back into the blogging game. On what?

BowCast Bowfishing in 2009

Well, first off, myself and BowCast Pro-Staffer Matt Hogue are joining the Colorado Bowfishing Tournament Circuit this year. If you don't know, neither of us have ever Bowfished before, but we have some good folks like Travis "T-Bone" Turner and Mark Land from Muzzy who we are counting on to help us with the technical components of our equipment as well as our technique.

Aneal's Bow Choice for 2009

I have also made a decision about a bow this year. Many of you know that I have traditionally shot a Hoyt, and last year I switched that up and actually got in the field with my G5 Quest. I am going another direction this year, and plan on hunting Turkey and Small Game with an Elite Archery Z28, and will be chasing the big game this year with an Elite Archery GT500. The BowCast team was collectively very impressed with shooting the Elite bows at ATA and our local pro shops. VERY GOOD technology, and many Elite shooters out there already know that....I am hoping my discovery of this fact will lead to some kills in 2009! Look for a ton more content like I did last year about this switch and how the Elite bows are performing for me.

"Food for Thought with Travis 'T-Bone' Turner"

You may have noticed a new segment on this week's episode (Episode #78). Travis "T-Bone" Turner has been a great friend to BowCast and has sung our praises about getting into the technology of Archery and Bowhunting. He has agreed to join Anthony and I each week to do a short "tech segment". And to be sure, you'll hear T-Bone on a couple of episodes this year getting more in depth on specific topics.

Cameron Hanes - Columbian Blacktail Hunting

We usually don't do this, but I wanted to give you a heads up that Cameron Hanes will be joining Anthony and I on next week's episode to cover a hunting a species that Anthony and I know very little about - Columbian Blacktail. Cameron also takes time out of his busy schedule to answer a few BowCast hotline questions - BRACE YOURSELF......an outstanding hunter sharing the straight shot on BowCast.

BowCast and FMP at Salt Lake City ISE Show

Anthony and I are also pleased to announce that both BowCast and FMP have secured booths at the SLC ISE show on March 12-15th. Anthony and I will be around the show the entire time, but we will definitely be in the booth(s) on Saturday March 14th to meet you all. Come on down and introduce yourself - we're looking forward to meeting the SLC BowCast community.

"BowCast at the Bird" 3D Shoot

I am breaking protocal and putting this in my blog even though the official annoucnement won't be out until tomorrow on a special episode of BowCast. But here's the skinny on the 3D Shoot this year:
August 1st AND August 2nd , 2009 (2 Day Shoot)
Event will be held at a 2002 Winter Olympic Venue - Snowbird Ski Resort - just outside of SLCSeminars from Outdoor Personalities3 High Alpine Courses on "mid-mountain" that you travel to via sky tram or ski lift Family Affair - No age restrictions and targets for ALL abilities; This is a completely FUN shoot.
Lodging Deals for Attendees on Snowbird MountainBlock your calendar, and we'll see you there! It's going to truly be awesome!

That's all I got. Leave a comment and let me know what your excited about (or not excited about). We have a ton more coming to the greatest archery hunting community in the world - BowCast Nation!

I'm out. Aneal

[...]
