You always hear about people achieving their "Turkey Slam", they got the Royal Slam or
World Slam or the Grand Slam. But what exactly is the criteria for each of these slams I
wondered.
Navigating to the National Wild Turkey Federation website opened my eyes to a whole new
world of turkeys!
Grand Slam - Eastern, Rio Grande, Merriam's & Osceola
Royal Slam - Eastern, Rio Grande, Merriam's, Osceola & Gould's.
World Slam - Eastern, Rio Grande, Merriam's, Osceola, Gould's & the Ocellated Wild Turkey
Mexican Slam - Rio Grande, Gould's & the Ocellated Wild Turkey harvested
in Mexico.
Canadian Slam - Eastern & Merriam's taken in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Alberta or British
Columbia
For each slam you finish you will receive a certificate from the National Wild Turkey
Federation, a record slam pin and your name is added to their record
books which can be viewed online.

I know that Nock1 is close to completing her Grand Slam, and under the "Top 5
Species to hunt" thread I Hunt 365 mentioned they only had a few to go too.
It would be interesting to know how many BowCasters out there have
completed any of the slams, are close to completing one
and which ones they are!
