Devin - Action Packed WeekendPosted by Devin Krinke in Untagged |
This past weekend I attended a 3d shoot in western N.D.'s badlands.I figured this trip would be a great opportunity to get some good practice in, as well as some scouting.
I heard some things about this particular shoot being a difficult one, and indeed it was challenging. Here's a couple of pics to give you an idea of how the course panned out.

The dreaded cedar on # 9. A severe downhill shot and a relatively small target lead many archers to believe this target was thirty yards when really it was twenty. One of those archers included me... However, this shoot in the end was a great confidence booster.
This eventful day wasn't over yet! Once we finished up the course we (my father and I) grabbed a bite to eat and hit the badlands for some scouting. We encountered no elk but, we did encounter this nice 4x4 muledeer buck.
All you BowCasters know the deal. Enjoy the last days of summer and get ready for fall. The time of year we live for!
