Matt-Elite GT500 Review

Early this spring I began shooting as many different bows as possible.  I wanted to see if I was missing something in all the new bows on the market.  After shooting the Elite GT500 my mind was made up and I started a new journey with a bow that was totally different than my Mathews.  This blog is a follow up to my original review of the Elite GT500 that I did in March.

Does Size Really Matter?

Eastern Colorado Deer - MONSTERS!  Both Mule Deer and Whitetail with massive racks and swollen necks have been frequenting my dreams at night.  During the hours I am awake, I find myself visiting the Outdoor Expeditions website (which is the outfitter we will be hunting with - a.k.a. Atkinson Expeditions) and drooling over some of the other hunter success pictures for this year.

Carrie’s Blog – BATB Review

When I first arrived at the Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, it was the middle of the night.  We had rented a car from the airport and drove up this crazy winding road, Snowbird came out of nowhere and took my breath away, even at night.

The staff members in the Cliff Lodge lobby were quick and efficient and we were up in our room on the 5th floor in no time.

OK, it sounded cool, but more particularly I hope it is "Pimps Up Bucks Down".

Just a quick post on what I'm up to.  I have been shooting my Elite Z28 everyday this week and am finally getting it dialed.  Getting ready for BowCast at the Bird and hunting season!  I got my plane ticket this week to SLC and I can't wait to shoot some foam at Snowbird.

Jason - My Z-28 Bow Review

Well Everybody

It is that time of the year again. Time to unveil my choice in bows.  This year was different because I got a chance to shoot all the bows side-by-side at ATA.  I was able to shoot everything from Hoyts to Bears.  Personally, it was a great experience.  As many of you know I am always saying, "it is the Indian not the Arrow.".  I really believe that.  If you picked the top ten bows they are more accurate and consistent than any human can be.  If there is a difference it will be in quality control and ease of tuning.  Last year I shot and reviewed a single cam bow.  It was a nice little bow but I had some issues with the cams "biting" into the serving and the limbsaver kept flying off the limbs.  I know that is pretty rare to ever read anything negative about a bow but I have no  problem calling it like I see it.  So stay tuned for an honest review.

Last Friday I went to my local pro-shop and shot the Elite GT500.  I have shot most of the new bows this year and was very impressed with the Elite GT500.  The poundage on this bow was set to ~60 pounds.

Folks,

I hope you have been patient with my lack of blogging.  For those of you who don't know, a lot of work occurs on the BowCast team in the first quarter (Jan, Feb, March) to ensure we have some good content lined up for you the rest of 2009.

Things have finally started to settle down and I am looking forward to getting back into the blogging game.  On what?
