Podcast Description We spend a lot of our free time as well as our hard earned money pimping our setup to give us the absolute best chance for success in the field. Everything from noise dampening accesssories, stabalizers, rests, peeps, sights and every other gadget imaginable. But as you are "pimpin your setup", so to speak, how many of us switch out the factory string that came with our bow? On this episode Anthony and Aneal cover why someone might consider taking a perfectly good factory string and taking it off to replace it with one of the high performing strings on the market. Listen in to hear the pros/cons as well as Anthony and Aneal's recommendation on performance bow strings. Next Week Folks, being the holidays and all, BowCast will be taking one week off next week. Partially to ensure we get to spend some holiday time with the extended BowCast family, but also to gear up for much of the exciting content that will be coming up in '08. Aneal and Anthony kick of the year at the ATA (Archery Trade Association) show and are both looking forward to sharing new equipment and technologies with all of the BowCast listeners. Happy Holidays!
Show Notes Anthony and Aneal talked about Winner's Choice bowstrings as well as the kit they sell for string care. Check them out! Podcast Description As promised, Aneal is joined by Matt Hogue who is an archery lead at the Sportsman's Warehouse store in Littleton, CO. Last week Matt put a string on Aneal's Hoyt Vectrix. In this week's episode, Matt and Aneal go through the process of paper tuning a bow. You'll see how it is done, and get some explanation on what a good tear looks like, and what to do to correct when your paper is not tearing the way it should. Next Week Next week Anthony and Aneal are back together on an audio episode. The straight shooters are going to cover a topic that often doesn't get as much attention as it deservers - after market bow strings. Do you use the string that came on the bow when you purchased it? Have you given much thought to buying an after market string and placing it on your bow? What kind of performance improvement could you expect? Why would you take off a perfectly good string that came with your bow, and buy and install a new one? Aneal and Anthony cover these questions and a whole lot more next week.
