Anthony has the week off, but Aneal gets with Matt Hogue from the Sportsman's Warehouse archery department in Littleton, CO to talk about Antelope hunting.

If you have never been antelope hunting, or have been with limited success, this is the episode for you.  Matt and Aneal cover scouting and typical setups to go after the "speed goat".

Show Notes

In talking about antelope hunting on this episode, Aneal and Matt discussed scouting, sitting on water holes, and spot and stalk.  Below are a couple of resources that will be helpful if you are planning an antelope hunt.

Next Week

Anthony and Aneal will cover broadheads - different types, differenct manufacturers, and the considerations when choosing what to hunt with.

On The Right

Some hunting pictures from Matt Hoge that were taken in Antelope country.

Upper Left - Success!

Upper Right - Cactus isn't the only thing to watch out for in Antelope country.

Bottom Left - Check water holes for fresh tracks to determine if Antelope have been frequenting the area.

Bottom Right - Typical water "tank" under a windmill.  Notice cattle can screw up your ground blind setup.  Also note if an antelope walked up to one of these tanks, the buck's vitals would be covered.  Look for water holes without steel tanks, or be prepared to setup your blind with a clear shot at an approaching antelope.
