Podcast Description
We all tend to talk about how there is no youth to follow us up in this sport we as athletes all love and hold dear. We scratch our heads talking about how we can pull kids away from XBox and Nintendo Wii and get them out in the field to help them understand why we all LOVE the sport we chose to excel at - Archery Hunting.
What if we shared with you EXACTLY what you could do as a bowhunter to get youth "fired up" about shooting a bow? Well if you want to know how you can truly do your part in helping kids enjoy all the passion and excitement you have about bowhunting, listen in on this week's episode.
BowCast is joined by Roy Grimes from the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP). Roy has a stellar career under his belt serving the public as a Wildlife Biologist in a number of different roles; Most recently Roy was the Deputy Commissioner with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources for the last 12 years of his career before he retired and turned his energy and attention to co-founding and becoming the International Director of the National Archery in Schools Program. Want to do your part in making our sport "cool" again? Come on in, take a listent to Roy's energy and vast experience around this initiative.....and by the end, you'll have some very clear direction on how you can get kids stoked about shooting a bow.
