I hope everyone is having a great season on bowcast . I was able to connect on a a great Mule Deer.  I was in the bowl where the deer come back from water. I have watched this bowl for 2 years, so I know what the deer do on a daily basis.  My dad and I were dad glassing the bowl and we saw the bucks.  We quickly positioned ourselves for a ambush. When I saw the bucks coming over the hill, I ranged him at 55 yards.  I drew back and shot. 
 

 
I hit him  in the front shoulder and I went to find my arrow I thought I had missed.  Later I found out that I made a good hit and the buck was pouring blood.  My dad and I tracked him for an hour. When we finally found him he was bedded.   I was able to sneak up to him and get another arrow in him to finish him off.
 
 
 
 
  • This hunt was very special because I got to share it with my dad.
  • All the time spent scouting and practicing with my bow paid off for me.
